Hi Telma, It was lovely reading about Perfume, a key to attract.

My journey with perfume began just as I left school and began my first job. I went into the pharmacy and was delighted to try Alexander de Marcoffe (not sure of the spelling, not on the market any longer). Well much to my mother’s horror I bought all the make-up I needed and skincare and not forgetting the perfume. I may tell you it took me a long time to pay my mother back as I bought it on her account.

From the moment I began wearing perfume. it changed who I felt I was. I was not longer a little girl, but a woman. For all the years since, if I don’t have perfume on,  I feel undressed.

Over the years I have used many, often Chanel.

Unfortunately my husband lost his sense of smell years ago, having a brain disease, but I still continue to use perfume every day. I could not be without it.

    Hi, Telma!

Great post! Like every other woman, I also love perfumes. My favorite one is Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue. I’ve tried lots of perfumes but that one suits me the best. The second on my list is Calvin Klein Obsessed. I’ve made my hubby’s life easier so he can never go wrong when he is buying presents. Keep up with the great work!

Hey Telma, thank you for this – when I shop for perfume I always feel at a loss, there are so many to choose from and a lot of them smell too strong for my preference. I feel more confident to try again now that I have read these tips. Can you tell me where is the best place to sample them if not the wrist?

    • admin November 13, 2018 at 8:41 am

Hi Nadia, thank you for stopping by. I normaly sample perfume on the back side of my hands. I want the perfume been more exposure to day ligt, weather etc and check how will smell sfter 5 or 6 hours, I spect that a old perfume on my skin has to smells better than a frash one. Try Coco Channel Mademaiselle you may like.

I love the smell of perfume on a woman and must admit it is sexy and adds to her allure.  I do not like it too strong, though.  On special occasions my mother used to load up on Chanel Number 5 to the extreme and I still don’t like the smell.

You have given me a lot of information on the categories I did not know.  I like the tip to smell coffee beans to cleanse the smell when comparing.  I think I cannot choose a perfume for my wife.  She doesn’t seem to appreciate the fragrances that I enjoy most.  I only hope to get her to go easy on the amount used.  I guess she should focus on the lower concentration of aromatic compound versions.

Men’s fragrances, forget it.  I won’t touch them.  Not “manly”  I guess.

    Thanks.

Hey Mr. Powell, how are you?

Thank you for your comments. I don’t like Channel Number 5 as well, I gree is too strong, so I started using Coco Channel Mademoiselle years a go, believe me I am very satisfy now, everyone ask me for the name. Please tell your mother to try, however all of us have a different skin chemistry, so no always what is good for me, is good for others, relating to perfume. Also, before I find the Coco Channel Mademoiselle I was using a mens perfume myself, because women perfume has a too sweet smell in my opinion
