A Road To ELEGANCE & FASHION

A Road To ELEGANCE & FASHION

Women Thrive to be elegant, without knowing the sense of elegance. To look elegant and fashionable they buy a number of clothes, shoes, bags etc. LISTEN up, LADIES! matching your shoes or bags with the coat is not something that makes you Elegant.

“Elegance is usually confused with superficiality, fashion, lack of depth. This is a serious mistake: human beings need to have elegance in their actions and in their posture because this word is synonymous with good taste, amiability, equilibrium, and harmony”.

Paulo Coelho

Elegance VS Fashion

Elegance is Innate, while Fashion is acquired. Elegance & Fashion are the two distinct things. Elegance is not wearing new clothes, it’s all about how you speak and act in any specific time. However, Elegance can be aided with fashion to make a better makeover. It is the human psyche to judge people by their appearance. So, you have to be very careful about your appearance as well. In this post, you will get a complete code of Elegance and Fashion.

‘Elegance is innate’ doesn’t mean; you should not wear clothes to look classy. But, Do it in your own way. There are many women who match or even don’t their jewelry, bags, and shoes with their dress. But they have their own style to carry the things. All you have to do is finding the appropriate accessories and clothes that suit your personality, style, and Elegance.

Elegance & Fashion killers

Are you wearing an expensive dress? Matched your shoes or bag with your dress? Still not looking what you wanted to look? I have a simple answer to your question. Money can’t buy Class. Many women don’t know about the mistakes they are doing unknowingly. To look classy and sexy, you don’t have a need to buy expensive clothes, accessories, bags, shoes etc. All you have to do is using the things with a bit care and proper knowledge.  Following are some of the mistakes that are ruining your Elegance and fashion:

  1. Desperate shopping behavior

Most of the time what ladies do is wasting their time in thinking not buy anything before any big event like a wedding, birthday party, date or any official party. But, when the time draws near they rush to the store to make a purchase. They only end up buying anything expensive and probably they don’t like that too. Hence they look awful. The solution to this problem is very simple. As soon as you receive an invitation, make a schedule and rush to the store to buy the appropriate dress for that particular event. By doing this you will save your money and will end up buying an extremely gorgeous dress that suits your personality and stile.

  1. Sale and Special offers

Most women lose their mind when hearing about sales and special offers. They end up buying extra dresses and accessories which they don’t even bother to wear. This makes your budget and sense being left in your storeroom.

  1. Using Same Purse/Bag

Are you carrying your everyday bag to a wedding, party, or any other event? Using the same Purse in every season? If yes, then you definitely are doing it wrong. Buy multiple purses and bags to carry with you. There is a difference between formal and informal purses. Like you don’t carry a black leather purse in July, similarly, you cannot carry a casual purse to a wedding.

  1. Wardrobe/Closet Disorder

Piling up your wardrobe with dresses and boxes of shoes will make it complicated. You will grab the very first dress out of your closet and wear it. Hence, wear the same dress over and over again. It kills your classy look. Carve out the storage. Place the dresses according to the season. Honor off your shoe rack, it will make you decide what to wear and what not to wear.

How to Look Classy, Elegant, & Fashionable?

The key to look classy is to act classy. Be polite in your dealing. Always wear a nice smile. Wear Elegance and Fashion dresses and keep them wrinkle free by ironing them. Use Makeup to make a groomed look. Doing your nails and hair is a plus point in making a well-groomed look. Following are some to-dos that will make you Classy, elegant and Stilish:

Dress

Buy high-quality cloths like silk, cotton or wool. They will help you to look natural and stylish at the same time.  While buying a new dress, make sure you are buying a dress that suits your personality and target your age. For instance, if you are aged women, you should go for neutral colors. If you are a teenager girl you should go for some trendy dresses.

Always wear tailored clothes. If you buy a new dress, take that dress to tailor and ask him to adjust it. Your dress should follow your curve. The cloth should be fit without being tight because it looks more sophisticated. Don’t forget to iron your cloth before wearing.

Accessories

Accessories make you look beautiful. If you use accessories rightly it will enhance your Elegance & fashion. Go for a pearl necklace, pearl or diamond stud earrings, a delicate pendant necklace, or an elegant watch. The wristwatch is in trend nowadays, It looks stunning and it depicts that you are very punctual. Don’t stuff yourself with accessories like wearing a ring in every finger, or wearing too many bracelets etc.

Shoes are the main thing in this regard. You shoe depicts your nature. If you are wearing a classy shoe it will enhance your glamorous. Go for neutral color shoes. Leather shoes are also good to wear. You can spice up your shoe collection by adding some fun shoe pairs.

Nail, Hair & Makeup

Keep your nails clean and manicured. Go for manicure and pedicure after every month or two. Use nail polish to make them look more beautiful. There are many nail shiners available in the market; you can use them if you have pink nails.

Hair should not be left undone. Get some haircut.  To look which haircut suits you can read our previous post. We have enlisted some of the Elegant and stylish hairstyle for you. Use hair styling product to look classier.

Makeup enhances your overall look. It’s only the makeup which when collaborated with all of the above things makes you look younger than your age. Apply classic black mascara, light concealer, simple lip color, and if you like you can use some eyes shadow too. You can also use light powder to look fresh. Avoid applying too heavy makeup.

Conclusion:

How does drinking water help you to look beautiful? Drink plenty of water.

Just like you, your skin also needs water to stay hydrated. Jennifer Aniston says, “Drinking lots of water keeps her looking ageless.” Water moisturizes your skin internally. Your skin is almost 64% of water. According to a study in the International Journal of Cosmetic Science,  drinking 2.25 liters of water every day for four weeks; altered skin density and thickness.

Sleep like a baby.

Jessica Krant, MD, MPH, assistant clinical professor of dermatology at SUNY Downstate Medical Center, New York Remarks; “Poor sleep can lead to increased stress hormones in the body that increase the severity of inflammatory skin conditions such as acne or psoriasis.” So, if you are facing any of the skin related problems, you should watch out your sleeping hours.

I’m one of those cheap type of women that won’t buy most stuff unless it is on sale. But most of the stores i go to always have some sort of sale going on. My favorites are the outlet mall stores since you can get discount on discount. I do agree that most women wait until the last minute for clothes. They really should go out every once in awhile and buy something for the future. This makes it less difficult in trying to find the right thing.

      Hi Rachel, how are you?

Thank you for you comments. Been cheap is ok, nothing wrong with.

Sometimes you can go to a clarence and buy amazing things. Guess what? I use to go in thrift store and buy one item here, one item there and make a autfit that everyone keep think that I expend thousands, whem I just espended much less than hundred.

Another tip is, for your birthday or Christmas, expend a little more and give yourself a nice piece like a nice bluse this year, a nice pants next year and so on.

      To your sucess,

    Hey Telma,

Money can’t buy class, so true! I’ve met so many snobbish rich people with classy clothing acting oh so popular that they think everybody loves them but in reality, nobody liked them. Some say that acting arrogant and snobbish is one of the elements that make you look confident and important, is this true though?

    • admin October 16, 2018 at 3:14 am - Reply

      Hey Riaz, how are you?

To answer your question: No, is not. Acting arrogant and snobby is a ugly way to force yourself in front everyone and say “look me I am here”.

On my opinion, that’s do not make you look confident and important, makes the person look unsecure, empty and acting like a fool. People only tolerate this person, they don’t like them.

A classy person is simple, nice and friendily. Hope this answer your question.

      Cheers,

      Telma

I loved your post -also everything written by Paulo Coelho. You wrote in a very sensitive way, with the same elegance and fashion you suggested. You are absolutely right about people judge people by their appearance. I sometimes found myself using the same things several times, just because I like those things. From now on I’ll be more careful. I would like your opinion about what do women over 60 and overweight use? what is is better for us? Thank for your wonderful post. I bookmarked your site to follow your suggestions 🙂

I really enjoyed reading your article. I totally agree with you that elegance and having an expensive outfit is not the same thing.

Thank you for sharing such valuable information about looking sexy and glamorous without having to break the bank. You gave me (and everyone reading this) a lot to think about. Carrying yourself correctly is going to attract way more of the wanted attention than an expensive dress and handbag.

This is really a nice blog. Elegance, after reading your article, I believe I’m not. I’m choose clothes but not to the point of bringing it to a tailor or a dressmaker. I buy and wear, that’s all. Different bags for occasion, I did that but my girls who became grown-up women used them and none left for me. I seldom go to parties or special occasion so I never bother to buy more. I felt so inelegant after reading this. However, I just laughed it out.

I enjoyed reading this, I might start to be one and let’s see what my husband can say with your advice.

Eli, my dear! As I say, you don’t have to expend a furtune to dress up well. Go to second hand places, buy 1 or 2 peces that you can cordinate. Stoping say that you are “inelegant”. Elegance is not carry on fence and expensive things; the way you talk, walk, put down or up your hair, wash your face and put just a leap stick on, those things that you do every day can make you a elegant woman with you do with a positive atitude; do a test, your husband will notice…

      All suceess to you,

Hi Telma, Paolo Coelho is my favourite author 🙂

I think elegance and style comes from within, and people don’t necessarily need to spend a lot of money. When it comes to accessories, I think sometimes less is better. I personally just have a few pieces of high quality jewellery, rather than lots of inexpensive jewellery.  Quality is important.

And thanks for the reminder about water, I never drink enough and I know that’s bad.

Great blog Telma, thanks and I’ll be back to check out more of your posts.

      Hi Melissa, how are you?

I agree with you in all your points. Yes, is better quality than quantity for sure. Please drink water as more you can. I personally don’t like regular water very much because of a trauma when I were kid, so I start drink sparkle water with flavor but not sugar and works for me.

      To your success,

      Telma

I never thought that elegance and fashion can be so important. But from your insights, it is good to know that fashion and elegance are two different things.

I found out that elegance can be described as ‘the quality of being graceful and stylish in appearance or manner.’ or ‘the quality of being pleasingly ingenious and simple; neatness’. In my opinion, the second description is more applied to me or looks better. But those two meanings have important different roles. Good taste, amiability, equilibrium, and harmony may be or can be derived from that.

This subject or theme is broad as well: in the philosophy of science, in mathematics, in engineering, in chemistry, even in pharmacy. But I would stay on the definition that elegant things exhibit refined grace and suggest maturity. In most cases, it is obvious with minor exceptions.

I definitely agree with you that money cannot buy class. Personally, I do not care about fashion much but I distinguish smart clothes. This is obviously related to my job, because, for example, you cannot show up in court with jeans or shorts or some other wearing. It would look very weird and unusual. Certainly, every single person has his own style. Some people do like trends but some not. I probably agree that expensive things play an important role here.

To sum everything up, I would like to say that the best option here is the feeling. It is how you feel. If you feel well with some gadgets or clothes, then wear it. Nobody likes to be caged or left with no options. The same applies or is related to fashion.

Thanks again for the great insights and remarks.

    Regards

    Tomas
